Job Description:

 

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of our Kolkata plant, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and adherence to quality standards.

  • Collaborating with quality control manager to establish and execute quality control processes.

Job Summary:

The Accounts Executive will be primarily responsible for the finalization of accounts, ensuring compliance with GST, Income Tax, and TDS regulations. The role involves using accounting software such as Tally and SAP to maintain accurate financial records, prepare monthly financial reports, and manage statutory filings. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of Indian taxation laws and advanced proficiency in accounting software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Finalization of Accounts:
    • Lead the finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit & loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
    • Ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and accounted for in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • GST Compliance:
    • Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.).
    • Reconcile GSTR-2A with purchase registers and address any discrepancies.
    • Stay updated with GST laws and ensure compliance with all regulations.
  • Income Tax:
    • Handle the computation and filing of corporate income tax returns.
    • Assist in the preparation of tax audits and ensure timely submission of tax-related documentation.
    • Respond to income tax notices and queries in coordination with external consultants, if necessary.
  • TDS Compliance:
    • Deduct, deposit, and file TDS returns as per statutory requirements (e.g., Form 24Q, Form 26Q).
    • Issue TDS certificates to vendors and employees.
    • Reconcile TDS liabilities with the books of accounts.
  • Accounting Software (Tally & SAP):
    • Maintain accurate financial records in Tally ERP and SAP, ensuring data integrity and timely updates.
    • Generate financial reports from Tally and SAP to support decision-making.
    • Assist in the migration or integration of financial data between Tally, SAP, and other financial systems as required.
  • Monthly Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
    • Provide variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, offering insights for performance improvement.
    • Present financial reports to management, highlighting key financial metrics and areas of concern.
  • Audit and Statutory Compliance:
    • Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits, ensuring all necessary documentation is provided.
    • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including ROC filings, and maintain up-to-date records.
  • Reconciliation and Ledger Management:
    • Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, vendor ledgers, and customer accounts.
    • Ensure that all ledger balances are accurately reflected and discrepancies are promptly resolved.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance and CA (Inter) preferable
  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting with a focus on finalization of accounts, GST, Income Tax, and TDS.
    • Proficiency in Tally ERP and SAP is mandatory.
    • Experience with financial reporting and statutory compliance.
  • Skills:
    • In-depth knowledge of Indian taxation laws (GST, Income Tax, TDS).

Qualifications:

  • Education:

  • Required Qualification/ Certification/ Training: Strong communication skills, customer service, interpersonal and sales skills. Should be proficient in English, Hindi or any local language. The ability to relate technical information to non-technical customers is a plus point.
